Congratulations to Candy
Goldapper who signed a contract

Dawn Thompson's March release,
BLOOD MOON, just received a fantastic
4-star review from Romantic
Times. It will be available at the
book signing at Barnes & Noble in
Melville on February 10th, and in
book stores on February 27th.
Pam Burford has discovered
speech-recognition software (at the
urging of the Good Twin, who's using
it to write her new Louisa Burton series).
The software is Dragon Naturally
Speaking, version 9. It's way cool,
frees not just the fingers but the
mind. Gives new meaning to "talking
up a good book."
Bertrice Small says, "Barbara Bretton
ton is too modest to tell everyone, but
she got a 4 and a half stars, TOP PICK
in Romantic Times for her latest
book." She also asked us to "(Check
the March issue for the title. I'm too
lazy to run upstairs.)"
Barbara Gale is participating in the
Pitney Bowes Valentine Card event
in Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central
Station on February 9th. PB sets up
beautiful kiosks and travelers can
stop by and send-gratis-high quality
Valentine cards to their loved
ones. Everyone is welcome.
She is also doing a book signing at
the Holmdel, New Jersey, Barnes
and Noble on February 11th. This is
all in aid of her new February release,
FINDING HIS WAY HOME.

Doreen Orsini has major news!
HUNTING DIANA, Book One of The
Vampires of Mina's Cove, is now
available in mass market paperback at all bookstores and book
sites. It has already made the
Amazon Bestseller List for Vampire Romances and the Barnes
and Noble list for Horror. This past
month, HUNTING DIANA was nominated for the 2006 Ecataromance
Reviewers' Choice Award.
Bertrice Small has just delivered
her 43rd novel into her current
publishers. And she signed new
contracts with both Harlequin's HQN
line, and NAL that will keep her busy
through 2010. She's also up for a
Career Achievement Award from
Romantic Times.
Barbara Metzger's March Regency-set historical romance from
Signet Eclipse, THE HOURGLASS,
has been named a Top Pick by Romantic
Times, and given a starred
review from Booklist.
Sunny announces that her MONA
LISA BLOSSOMING is a national
bestseller. It was the Barnes &
Noble #5 bestselling trade ro-
mance. And was #34 on
Booskscan Central, which includes
all the categories.

Jen McAndrews is pleased to announce
her paranormal romance,
BOO, BABY, is doing quite well on
the contest circuit. It placed fourth in
Romancing the Tome and third in The
Suzannah. Fingers crossed the manuscript
continues on this positive path.
Bertrice Small has been nominated
for a Career Achievement by RT.
Edith Layton is also up for an
award. Bertrice is also delighted to tell
you that her third book in her World of
Hetar series, THE TWILIGHT
LORD, due out in May, has gotten a
4+ TOP PICK by Romantic Times
Book Reviews.
Barbara Metzger's book, JACK

2006) won Romantic Times's award
for best Historical Love and Laughter
for 2006.

Ava Lau is delighted to tell you
that she's been accepted to the 2007
Clarion West Writer Workshop in
Seattle this summer. In the field of
science fiction, it's one of the most
well-known and established writing
workshops in the genre, taught by
professional award-winning science
fiction writers and editors.
Jen McAndrews has news! If she
wasn't so afraid of injuring herself
she'd be jumping up and down with
excitement. Her paranormal romance/
mystery is continuing its success
on the contest circuit. BOO,
BABY is now a finalist in the 2007
Daphnue du Maurier Award of Excellence
contest, Unpublished Division.
Woohoo! Winners will be announced
at RWA National in Dallas. She's
got her fingers tightly crossed for this
one!

finalled in four categories for PNR's
PEARL award. They are: Best Paranormal

Best Fantasy/Magical for
THE WATERLORD, Best Time Travel
for THE FALCON'S BRIDE, and Best
Anthology for BLUE MOON ENCHANTMENT
(Candy Goldapper is
also a featured author in this anthology!)
Winners will be announced next
month.
She's also happy to announce
that her books HUNTING DIANA
and NO ONE BUT MADISON,
plus her short story, Chairman of
the Board, were P&E Readers'
Choice nominees.
HUNTING DIANA also received a
rave review from Romance Designs,
it's sixth '5 out of 5' review, (this one
from Sensual Reads) and was listed
as one of the Top 5 Books for February on Mybookcravings.
Her ebook, TANNER’S ANGEL, received a FAR Recommended read.

Dawn Thompson reports THE
FALCON'S BRIDE took first place
in the Long Historical category, and
third place in the Paranormal category
in the RIO Awards of Excellence
from Reviewer's International.
The first in her vampire series,
BLOOD MOON, was released
March 1st. The second, THE
BROTHERHOOD, will be released
in September. The third, THE RAVENING,
has been slotted for next
March.
Dawn's novella, GODDESS OF
THE DREAM WELL, will be featured
in the upcoming Kensington
Aphrodisia anthology, EROS ISLAND,
and she has just sold a second
novella to Kensington for a shapeshifter
anthology coming next year.
Candy Goldapper just found out last
night that her book about a feisty
female firefighter will be pubbed by
Highland Press. Date is to be announced.
